During Stockholm Design Days, Nordiska Galleriet launches NMNG, a new series by the Italian design studio NM3. The collection comprises three dining tables and a chair, designed in the studio’s distinctively architectural language.
The NMNG series includes three dining tables—one round and two rectangular—along with a matching chair. The pieces are defined by clear proportions, exposed construction, and a consistent, methodical approach to material and structure.
The founders of the Italian design studio NM3, Nicolò Ornaghi, Francesco Zorzi and Delfino Sisto Legnani, met during their architecture studies at Politecnico Milan, where they found mutual ground in their love of industrial systems and simplicity.Since then, they’ve rapidly made a name for themselves with sleek steel pieces and interiors in their own name, as well as in collaborations with fashion brands like Givenchy, Off-White, All Blues, Chimi and Our Legacy.

For its collection for Nordiska Galleriet, NM3 works in wood for the first time. The series is crafted in solid oak, approached with the same methodology the studio applies when working with steel. The result is a collection with a distinct character, clear lines, and a precise expression.
“We try to create modernist design, made by architects. Our design is system-based rather than object-based. It always starts from a language, with a clearly defined set of rules,” says Nicolò Ornaghi. The NMNG collection was photographed at Bio Skandia on Drottninggatan in Stockholm, one of Sweden’s most distinctive cinemas, designed by Gunnar Asplund in 1923. The architecture brings together Nordic Classicism and Italian influences; during the development of the cinema, Asplund travelled to Lido in Venice, Italy for inspiration.
