Interior designer Daniel Östman designs Don for Nordiska Galleriet

“This is not a sofa that makes the loudest statement. “To me, exclusivity is about tactility – how the textiles feel, how the seams fall, how the body rests within the proportions,” says Östman.

As an extension of his interior design practice, Daniel Östman has personally curated a Designers’ Choice fabric collection for Don, comprising both base and accent textiles. Each combination has been selected by Östman himself, with the intention of offering expressions that feel assured yet never predictable. Customers can choose from these ready-made Designers’ Choice combinations or create their own in-store. By working tone-on-tone or with contrasting details, the series moves fluidly between discreet and more expressive identities.

“The idea is to offer combinations that truly work – that carry confidence without being formulaic. Almost like a clothing collection, where every combination has its own voice,” says Östman.
